After Aston Villa’s 3-0 Premier League loss to Fulham on Thursday, manager Steven Gerrard has left the team.

A club spokesperson stated: “We appreciate Steven’s dedication and hard work, and we wish him well in the future.”
This season, Villa have won only twice in the league and only tops the relegation zone on goal difference.
After leaving his position as manager of Rangers in November 2021, Gerrard took over as Villa manager.
However, in his 11 months in charge, the 42-year-old former England and Liverpool midfielder managed only 13 victories out of 40 games.
